About Cathy Phillips

Cathy has been working in the field of Child Care & Disabilities since 2002. With a background in Psychology obtained from the University of Natal Pietermaritzburg, and a specialization in Ecosystemic Psychology, Cathy values working with children and their families in a holistic manner and believes everyone is capable of actualizing their potential.

Her career has seen her working in a variety of settings both locally and internationally: government, private, NPO & Medico Legal. Cathy is passionate about educating & training those involved in the lives of children with multiple disabilities.

Cathy runs a Private Practice: Kaleidoscope Interventions which offers Mental Health Counselling, Play Therapy & Family Mediation. Cathy has a loving lighthearted approach to all she works with.

Cathy also serves as the Principal of Whizzkidz Special Needs Centre, a distinguished non-profit organization with a rich history spanning 23 years. Renowned for her expertise, she is a highly sought-after trainer, delivering presentations to esteemed audiences and clients, including notable entities such as NAPTOSA, the University of the Orange Free State, the Department of Health, and the Department of Education.
